Tolaga EverGreen Fund

Our focus is to support Maori and indigenous entrepreneurs, to start their own service businesses. In collaboration, with Edmund Hillary Fellow ‘Scott Miller’, we provide seed funding and business wrap around support. Nau mai hara mai.

Slash For Cash 

A project that revitalizes the lands by transforming wood debris waste into organic biochar fertilizer and smokeless charcoal briquettes, whilst generating employment and training opportunities for the local East Coast community in New Zealand.

Uawa Factory Road Native Nursery 

A community based project using Matauranga Maori, fostering Kaitiakitanga-Guardianship and promoting environment based economic activities

Uawa Seniors Activity Center 

A co-working space for the elderly to engage socially and share local heritage, intergenerational knowledge and skills with other elderly community members, the younger generation, and tourists that visit Uawa.

Uawa Skate ''n Park 

Uawa Skate ‘n Park is a community driven initiative led by Rhonda Hale and Fran Markowski.   The steering group behind them is a small collective of locals who strongly support the aspirations and voices of our mokopuna, to create a whanau centred play space we can enjoy and appreciate.
